We have been settling in the past month and I figured it was time to give an update on the big move. I don't have pics of the apartment yet (we are still hanging up pictures on the walls and decorating) but I hope to finish all that this weekend. Here is a review of our first month in Texas.

The Move:
Casey and I totally lucked out as my amazing dad flew out to help us move. We also lucked out and my awesome boss Nikki let us put our stuff on the truck her new job was paying for, so we only had to pay the cost of gas for our two cars on the way down. We had two cars, a truck and five drivers so even though it was a 22-hour drive it wasn't too horrible. Neville was a real trooper and made it two solid days of driving. We stay the first night in Alberqure, N.M., and the second night in Dallas. Sunday morning we moved Nikki's stuff out of the truck (in Dallas) and then headed down to Austin. Johanna, John and their kids met us at our apartment with the apartment keys they had picked up for us on Saturday. A really nice neighbor saw us unloading and helped us. Which was extremely fortunate as Casey threw his back out while helping unload Nikki's stuff. He was hobbling around like an old man. We don't have a lot of stuff so luckily the unpacking went quickly.

School/Jobs:
Casey had his first day of orientation on Monday the 16th and then I had mine on Wednesday the 18th. I started work that Thursday and then we both started classes on Wednesday the 25th. So far our classes are interesting and keeping us busy. I work for the Texas Regional Collaborative on the STEM Project http://www.thetrc.org/trc/ and Casey got a job as a graphic design intern with http://www.utexas.edu/tsm/

Life in Austin:
We are really enjoying Austin despite the blazing heat and random tropical storms. Our apartment complex has a pool which we have visited a few times with Jo and her kids. Jo has some cute pics and if I remember to get them from her I will post some. We have also tried out a few restaurants with friends including my friend Natalie who I went to BYU-H with and her husband. We also had a visit from my high school friend, Katie, and her husband Rick who live in Louisiana. Rick got us some free tickets to the first UT home football game and we all bought burnt orange shirts so I really feel like a Longhorn now.

Pictures for your enjoyment:
This is what happens when it rains 9 inches in one day

Sporting our burnt orange at the first UT home game. We won by the way.
The UT fans do actually make the Hook 'em Horns sign a lot. Like the entire game. They also chant a lot, swear a lot and drink a lot. Seeing as my football experience thus far has been high school and BYU it was quite the experience.
This is to show the world how much I love Neville.
And this was just too cute to not share.

Catch up Time

My name is Sarah Rogers and I am a horrible blogger.

There I took the first step to recovery. As many of you have noticed, it has been almost a year since our last blog post. I am going to restart the blog and with the hope that now we are in Austin and are exploring a new city we will have more things to blog about. So here is an attempt to catch you all up on the last 10 months. I will take it one month at a time so I can provide more posts for your viewing pleasure.

November 2009
November means Thanksgiving. Which at this point is the only thing I can say for sure that we did last November. Lesson learned: don't wait 10 months to write a blog post. Thanksgiving was very exciting as we got to go to Arizona and see the entire Rogers family. This is the first time Casey and I have been with his entire family in close to 5 years. We all stayed in a big house with a swimming pool and hot tub and the house was really close to the outlet mall. Casey and I flew down which was sooo much better than driving like we did the year before.

On Thanksgiving morning Casey, Dustin, Jennifer, Darin, Shauna and I ran a 10K race. This was the first 10K Casey and I had ever done and we trained for about 6 weeks for it. We were pleasantly surprised with our times: Casey 51:16.0 just beating Sarah who ran 52:36.7. OK, so 1 min 20 secs is more than "just" beating but it makes me feel better to put it that way.

After the race we ate way too much food and then that night we went to the outlet malls when they opened which was around midnight. That was pretty fun but there were way too many people for my comfort. I hate being in large crowds.

During the rest of the vacation we had a cousin gift exchange, played lots of games, made gingerbread houses and ate way too much. Casey and I got to spend most of Sunday hanging out with Dustin and Maddy and their kids as everyone else had already left. It was a great trip and hopefully we will all get together again in the next year (I believe there is a plan in works as we speak for next summer)

Below are some pictures from Thanksgiving for your viewing pleasure.

Our worst Frightmare came true

Toward the end of September Casey won six free passes to Utah's illustrious amusement park Lagoon. During October the park puts on "Frightmares" where they have some haunted house type stuff, people walking around in costumes and general spookiness. During Frightmares Lagoon is only open on the weekends and we weren't able to make it up until yesterday. But first, let's run down what we did the rest of the month.

The first weekend in October was LDS General Conference, of course. We received free entries to a run with your dog 5k at the University on Oct. 3. We've never walked Neville much farther than 2 miles let alone run with him. But he handled it like a champ and had we had a really fun time. He sniffed a lot of dogs' butts and since Casey was registered with him we came in third place and Neville one a giant red food bowl.

Here's Casey and Neville before the race:
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_3lro91pocXg/Su5B4LHmPpI/AAAAAAAAATY/bKEDYYOGhg8/s320/100_1656.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5399325436576939666" />

Neville checking out the snacks at the end of the race:
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_3lro91pocXg/Su5B3yWZKfI/AAAAAAAAATQ/IohroplednU/s320/100_1654.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5399325429928110578" />

Neville eating out of his prize bowl:
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_3lro91pocXg/Su5B3ZjTAoI/AAAAAAAAATI/U5C5V_2KGVU/s320/100_1651.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5399325423271346818" />

And Sarah with a very tired and grumpy looking Neville, he'd had enough excitement by the end:
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_3lro91pocXg/Su5B3HP2hnI/AAAAAAAAATA/NhlFKgaWcdI/s320/100_1647.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5399325418357950066" />

And here's a photo of the three of us running together near the end of the course:
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 213px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_3lro91pocXg/Su5D9AiWdcI/AAAAAAAAATg/FOW5WIKBqwQ/s320/1003+Dog+Run+Dog+Web.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5399327718658962882" />

On the second weekend we went to see the Odyssey Dance Theatre's annual Halloween production "Thriller." The dance troupe does a variety of spooktacular dances from mummies to vampires to teenagers and evil scarecrows to of course the dance from Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video. Casey's favorite was a tap dance number with glow-in-the-dark skeletons with removable heads. Sarah enjoyed the number with Frankenstein's Monster and the Bride of Frankenstein the most. That one features some really impressive dancing by the Bride as she accidentally gets "killed" part way through the number.

On Oct. 17 we had planned to go to Lagoon but our friends Stevie and Jesse went on a camping trip from hell to Moab and Katie's husband Brad was on a hunting trip in Wyoming. So what did we go do? We went shopping of course!

The next week Sarah successfully defended her prospectus to write her thesis (she built a moat, a wall loaded with archers and boiling oil to keep it safe from her evil advisement committee) and then her parents came into town. On Saturday, Oct. 24, Sarah, her dad and her sister Meghan ran the BYU homecoming 5k while Casey rocked the GRE. That night we rode the Haunted Canyon event on the Heber Creeper. It was fun and slightly scary. But it was our first ride on a real train! We think our nephew Nate would have had the time of his life as he loves both trains and Halloween.

You can read below what we did this past Friday night, and finally we come to Lagoon. We agreed to pick up Stevie and Jesse in American Fork and stop in Salt Lake City on the way up to pick up an illustration that Jesse's work is going to auction at a fundraiser. As we all know, Google Maps is pretty much worthless when it comes to navigating university campuses (at University of Texas in Austin, for example) and while we could see the building we wanted to get to, we had no clue how to actually reach it. Stevie and Jesse figured they would have better luck hoping out of the car than risking Casey's crazy driving which involved driving the wrong way on one-way streets and "sweet bootlegger turns."

We made it to Lagoon despite I-15's mysterious closure (a Halloween prank?) and met up with Katie and Brad. The lines were short and we were able to hit most of all the major rides (at least the ones we brave enough to go on). Some worth mentioning where the Spider which has a car that seats four facing opposite directions. We sat in the back of one car while Katie and Brad faced the front. It was crazy riding backwards and got even crazier when the car started flipping around so we rode sideways, backwards and forwards. It was definitely a unique little coaster.

Another signature at Lagoon is Wicked. This wicked coaster launches you straight up (really, we're talking 90 degrees here) across a peak and then straight back down (again at 90 degrees people) and then around some corkscrew turns. Casey volunteered the men set in the front row of the eight-person car and the girls sit in back. And guess who sits next to Casey? A girl about 7- or 8-years-old. Casey definitely screamed louder and in a higher pitch than the little girl.

Other rides of note were Colossus the Fire Dragon sporting double loops, the Wild Mouse, the Roller Coaster (seriously, that's what it's called, but it's an old-time wooden coaster) and the Celestial Screamer which is like the Enterprise at Kennywood in Pitsburgh. The Enterprise is our favorite ride at Kennywood and it is totally mellow and relaxing. It looks scary because you're in a little cart with no lap bar or seat belt and it spins you round and round and then tilts up so it is spinning you upside down. But the centrifugal force just pushes you back in your seat and if you just relax and close your eyes it is bliss.

Eventually it got too cold to ride any more rides so we went through a haunted house that Casey nobly lead us through. Then we headed into SLC to stuff ourselves with the wonderful pizza at The Pie. Pizza just doesn't get any better. Or root beer. Or cheesy pull-a-parts which are the most delicious thing there. Somebody hand me a napkin because I'm drooling just remembering it.

When we got home we watched the 1968 version of "The Night of the Living Dead" which was a first for Sarah. Well, that is if you don't include Dan Krauss' version staring Chris and Shad Kunkle. We didn't find time to carve pumpkins this year, but overall it was a pretty terroriffic October.

How to hoist a moider

As an early birthday present to Maddy Casey and I are actually posting something on our blog. On Friday we went to an awesome Halloween/Murder Mystery party at our friends Tegwin and Alisa's house. I was in charge of making the "blood soup," spider dinner rolls and dessert, for which I made eyeballs.

I was pretty proud of how it turned out until we got there and Stevie and Jesse made appetizers that kicked my food's trash.

The ham flesh had BBQ sauce under it so it bled when you took some off. It features lots of period lingo with a Chicago accent. The frequent pronunciation of "goils" made us assume they were talking about gargoyles. This is mainly my fault because I will buy something for someone then find something else they would like and add that in too. So my idea was to make a nice cookbook and get it printed and give each person/family a copy. Casey and I are working on losing weight and have done well since Christmas because we are counting all our calories (well I am, I don't know if Casey). So, I was thinking I could include important nutrition info for each recipe like the calorie count, since it is hard to count calories when you cook from scratch. If you think this is a good idea let me know and I will start working on it as we cook each day. Oh and if you think you have a good recipe to add feel free to send it my way.

Descent: Journeys in Love

Have a happy gaming Valentines!

The long awaited update

*Pictures to be added, but I thought I should get this posted before any more snide comments appeared on my facebook account :) *
Lately I have been receiving some nasty comments about my lack of blog posts and lack of having children. I am here to make good on the posting, but not the child bearing :) Here is a little update on what has been going on lately with us.

June: I was still working at Willow Creek School as a teacher. I almost quit when a student tired to hit me. However, he was kicked out of my class and I came back. It was kind of nerve wrecking for a while though. I also worked at BYU curating fish for the Bean Museum, it was totally mindless but I got to watch a lot of movies on the computer. I also started grading packets that students did while in wilderness (they go there at the beginning of their therapy) this was a nice addition to our income.

July: My sister and her 5 kids drove out to Utah from Ohio for the 4th of July. We had a really good time and did a lot of fun things like going to the water park and seeing Miley Cyrus at the stadium of fire. Casey's brother Dustin, his wife Maddy, and their 3 kids stopped by on their way to Idaho and we took Maddy and Ellie to see stadium of fire as well. At the end of the week we all got really sick and I spent about 3 days in bed, which was not so fun.

August: Still working as usual. We moved into a basement apartment in Provo from our place in Orem. The great thing about the new place is the landlords have two dogs and fenced in backyard. We are also 1 house away from a park and walking trail. Neville is in heaven. Johanna came to visit with EZ and her newish baby Netta. It was the first time we had seen Netta and she really is as big as Jo said. She is incredibly cute and looks remarkably like the marshmallow monster on ghost busters.

September: I started my first semester at BYU as a graduate student. Around September 15th I was told that the school I was working at had gone bankrupt and would be shut down on September 29th. That was a little surprising. Luckily I still get to grade the packets and I work for my professor at BYU so I did not have to find another job. I hate looking for jobs. We ran our first 5K in about a year. It was hard and I had some trouble with my asthmas but it was fun overall.

October: My parents came out to visit, which is always fun. We run a 5K and it was much better than the one the previous month. Not much else happened except we made some kick butt pumpkins and ran a Halloween 5K.

November: Thanksgiving in Arizona. We got to visit Casey's family (Jim, Cheryl, Doug's family, and Dustin's family) were all present. It was a lot of fun and I got to visit my friend Jason who lives in Phoenix now. At this point I begin to slowly go crazy as I realize I took too many credits this semester.

December: I almost have a complete nervous breakdown due to my over zealous first semester. I will be taking less credits next semester for sure. I did however finish with a 3.97 GPA, all As and one A-. At the beginning of the month we spent 8 days in Springville Utah babysitting for my friend. We were responsible for 5 kids, ages 5-13. It was a big change, but a lot of fun. The kids loved Neville, espesically one little girl Rainy. We were beat afterwards and took about another week to recover, but it was fun and well worth it. I will devote a separate post for Christmas.

Remember To Vote

Hey everyone, this is just a reminder to go out and vote!!! Well wonder no more. Here is little peak at my life this summer.

Work- I am currently working two jobs this summer trying to save money for graduate school next fall. My first job is a summer school teacher at Willow Creek Academy in Provo. I teach M-F 3:30 to 6:30. It is interesting, we do 2 week session where the students come to my class all 3 hours each day. Out of the 10 days of class we are on site 4 days, doing community service 2 days, and going on field trips 4 days. It is a lot of working and can be tiring at times but over all it is good.

Job #2- Due to the high levels of mental stress teaching can cause I decided to get a mindless grunt job for the mornings. Luckily a BYU professor needed some students to take his collection of dead fish, their stomaches embryos and prepare them to be put in the Bean Life Science Museum. So basically I fix up the vials of fish parts, make labels for them, and verify the information is correct. I really enjoy the job, but I am not quite sure what that says about me. There is a chance that once the fish are ready I can start working more with the data and helping with publications or the evaluating or the current study abroad program the professor and his grad students run.

Education Publications- Once a week I meet with my graduate professor and some of the other students in my program to hep each other get papers ready for publications. I am in charge of finishing/fixing up a paper we began writing for a class last fall. It helping me ease back into the swing of college, but it also reminds me how rusty I am after 2 years out of school.

Movies- My favorite time for movies is summer and Christmas. This summer we have seen Indiana Jones, Prince Caspian, Iron Man and Kung Fu Panda. I liked them all but my favorite was Iron Man. I am anxiously awaiting the opening of Hell Boy 2, WALL E and The Dark Knight. Those are my main desires for July.

Getting in Shape- Casey and I recently joined 24 hour fitness (I get a sweet discount through Willow Creek) and we are trying to go at least 4-5 times a week.

That about wraps up my summer life. Please don't feel bad about your life knowing how exciting mine is.

Neville's new hairdo

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_UL1ccJ-2Y2U/SFc32lPesbI/AAAAAAAAAAc/Blgec8YkWVk/s320/Neville_edited.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5212696504554140082" /> Neville got himself a new haircut for summer! I wanted to update everyone that still reads this blog (which is probably no one since it has been so long). Here is a list of what has happened in our lives since Christmas:

1. Dec/Jan: My sister Katie got engaged on Christmas Eve so we got to see lots of my parents as they came out to Utah twice to help with Katie's wedding stuff. We always love to have them come so it was great. Neville loves my parents more than he loves us and he mopes around for days after they leave. On their last visit they gave Neville a Pittsburgh Steelers jersey which he looks super cute in. Yesterday when we went to take his picture he was kind of mopey but he is still cute.

2. March: Casey's dad underwent deep brain stimulation surgery for his Parkinson's disease. It was a two part surgery and Casey and his brothers went out in shifts to help. Casey and Chris went out together and helped after the second surgery. It was great that he got to see his parents again but I was pretty jealous I didn't get to go. We got an update from Cheryl about a week ago. The electrodes in Jim's brain were finally connected to the battery in his chest and it was a success. Casey and I are working on a plan to go and see the "Old Jim" as the family calls him, but it will be the "New Jim" too me so I can't wait!

3. April: Casey and I went with Katie and Brad to Brad's family's cabin in Wyoming. It was sooo fun and Casey and I got to go snowmobiling for the first time ever! If you ever see me in person ask me to tell the story of Katie's fall. Anyone who knows me knows that when I think a story is really funny I laugh till I cry when telling it, this is one of those stories. April: My Birthday! I turned 25 and while it is not that much older than 24 it kind of freaked me out. I got really great presents from everyone including being able to hang out with my parents the week after.

5. May: Katie's Wedding!!! The wedding was great and everyone had a fun time. I got to see all my family except Jo who was on modified bed rest. We flew out to Pittsburgh Wed night on a red eye then drove to NY. Friday we drove back to Pitt and then Sunday we flew back to Salt Lake. It was a lot of travel but well worth it.

6. May: Jo had her baby!!!!! My sister had her second baby last week. She was induced on Thursday due to high blood pressure but the baby was born at 8 pounds so I think she was probably ready (at least Jo was!) Jo and John sent us lots of pics and I am posting them so I can brag.

7. Future plans: This summer we have high hopes of visiting family and relaxing. Casey is still working at the Herald and I am ending my year at Mountain View High School. Over the summer I am going to tutor and teacher at Willow Creek a therapeutic high school. (the kids are in therapy during the day and go to school starting at 3:30pm) Rachel and her family are planning on coming out for the 4th of July and we were able to get tickets to see Miley Cyrus at Stadium of Fire for all the nieces! Big thanks to Aunt Meghan who stood in line for 4-5 hours, she is the Aunt of the year. Finally we are still anxiously awaiting updates on Chris and Shauna's adoption journey. I am ready and willing to come and help Shauna/spoil the baby when it happens!

I think that is all the big news, I will try and update more often! So I apologize for my lack of blogging, but will try and do better. Any who here is a quick update on the lives of the Rogers.

Casey: Casey is really liking his work at the Daily Herald and has been designing some pretty cool features sections. There is a link you can go to and see some of his work, I will ask him to put it up so you can all ohh and awe at his creative genius. Casey has also been enjoying playing Zelda on the Wii each morning after taking me to work. We are currently looking for another car, however, so he won't have to wake up at 7 every morning. Finally Casey has recently gotten some pretty cool puma stuff (one awesome hoodie and bag) and added the games Incan Gold and Witts and Wagers to his collection.

Sarah: I have been working 2/3 time at Mountain View High School. When we moved here there weren't any full time science teaching positions open, so I took a 2/3 time one teaching biology. The school is nice, and I have to admit working part time is nice. In addition to working at the school I am taking a post-bac class at BYU and applying for graduate school there next year. So I have to start writing essay, getting letters of recommendation, and preparing for the GRE, which I am slightly scared of. So that is pretty much my life right now, but hopefully once we get another car I will get a part time job for the afternoons so I can save up for grad school.

Neville: Neville has taken up the habit of rubbing his head into the carpet and creating huge matts all around his ears so last week he got a major haircut. We then realized that he is all skin and bones and what we thought was meat was really just fluff. He is still cute but we prefer him with shaggy hair so we are making in effort to keep him matt free. Neville also got a pumpkin shirt (which I am sure Nate will be jealous of) and a glow in the dark skeleton hoodie, which is the coolest shirt ever. The shirts look super cute on him and help to hide the fact that he really is a walking skeleton now that he is fluff less. We will post pics soon.

Well that is all the news for now, so I hope everyone is doing well. Also I am sorry for all the typos, Casey is not here to edit my writing for me.

We love you all!

New York New York

My family and I just got back from NYC where we picked my sister Meghan up from her mission. She served in NYC and Norkwalk Connecticut, so we got to tour around a bit. We all had a good time, but I know I am not a city person. Since we got back we have just been bumming around the house, and my dad and I are working on redoing my old bedroom which has become the family junk yard. Today I took 6 bag of clothes/shoes/toy to Goodwill and we have already taken about 4 bags of trash out. Sorry I don't have any pics or videos right now, but there will be some soon. Casey is going slightly crazy with boredom while stuck in Provo, but he comes out to PA on Friday so we can all go visit my grandma in the hospital (she had heart surgery). The posts maybe be short and uninteresting (we aren't that exciting) but they will be there.

Now for a recap:
Since our last post much has happened. First we went to Hawaii!!!!! We stayed at a cute little beach house in Laie where I went to school. The beach was great, though it rained a bit, and we came back no longer looking like sickly ghosts. It was Casey's first time in Hawaii and he loved it. We bummed around and ate amazing local food and just enjoyed not working. It was the first time we had spent more than 2 days off together since moving to California, so we loved every second of it. Here are a few pics for you to enjoy.

Sarah at the Laie Temple Casey at dinner, what an animal

If you are wondering Casey is
NOT photoshopped into this picture Sarah really loves the beach that much

The day we got home from Hawaii was my birthday so I took the entire day off and we partied! I got some clothes and a game for the Wii, by the way we got a Wii.

Not much happened until June when Casey was offered a job as a features designer in Provo Utah. It is day time hours so while the idea of Provo didn't thrill us at first, we took it. We had 2 1/2 weeks to move. I finished teaching on the 15th and Casey started work on the 18th so it was a little crazy but we made it.

The Roger's Family is Still Here... and We Have an Addition!

Hey all just wanted to let you know that we are in fact still alive and that we are reviving our blog. To sum up the last 6 months, we live in California, we got a puppy, and we are going to Hawaii on Monday for spring break. We will fill you in on the trip and hopefully get a new picture of the puppy up when we get back. The puppy's name is Neville and he is super cute. His favorite things to do are chew on 20 oz pop bottles and eat my hair.

California Love

We are in California!!! Casey and I arrived on August 12th with the help of my dad who flew to Utah and drove the rental truck out here for us. We had a good time and things went very smoothly for us on our drive. My dad had to go back for work the next morning though. Since then my mom has come and visited us as well as Rafe, so we feel very loved. Chris and Shauna have been keeping us entertained and helping us through our Internet crisis. We are having some issues getting service so they have traded us internet time in turn for Casey taking over as Bernie's dog walker. Casey started work on the 17th and I have been around the school but officially start tomorrow Aug 24th. Hopefully we will be able to post pictures and create more bloggs soon, but I guess that depends on the lovely folks at AT&T!

And now the weather

The weather today in Provo was CRAZY!! As you can tell, our weathergirl was almost swept away by the 80 mph winds, hail and rain. It lasted for about 10 minutes. Center Street in Provo flooded, several powerlines went down, and lots of damage was caused to the Provo airport. Maybe when the Daily Herald Web site starts working we can post some professional photographs of the mess. In the continuing fury of trying to catch you up with our lives while we were lazy, meet our new nephew! His name is Ezekiel or Eazy-E, depending on which circles you run in. Well Johanna and John (that's Sarah's sister and her husband for those who are just catching up with us) came to visit a couple of weeks ago and brought along their baby. It was quite the experience. The night we got there a dear came up into our camp site and just looked around and started eating the grass. It was about 3 feet away from us and wasn't bothered at all. I wanted to take a picture but was afraid of scaring him away. We spend the next day doing some hikes and they were amazing. It was utterly delecious and a macabre affair as you can see how bloodied Sarah became while making it. Yes, several cherries were hurt in the making of this cobbler.

Viva Las Vegas

Here is a pic of Jason and I in Las Vegas. Casey and I had a great time hanging out with Jason and eating fabulous food at Mesa Grill a restaurant owned by Bobby Flay. The food was amazing! We also managed to risk it big in the casinos. Jason won a mind blowing $1 playing video poker while Casey and I both managed to lose $2 at the nickel slots. I attribute Jason's success over ours to his four years of riverboat gambling experience.

Summer fun

Today we took advantage of Provo's altitude and sun and decided to crash a local apartment complex's pool and lay out for a little while. All was in vain though, I'm still as white as can be.

In snow related news, Sarah got the job at the shaved ice stand! It's called Ella Good. Get it? Not quite as good as Snow-body's Business if you ask me though.

This weekend we're heading off to Las Vegas to meet up with Sarah's friend Jason who is moving there for business related reasons. In other words, he's going to be a stripper. Check out his show, "Headlights and Tail Pipes" next time you're there. On Sunday we're driving up to Zions National Park to experience the wonders of nature. Also we hope not to run into any Zionists battling Palestinians. We'll be sure to take plenty of pictures, in other words, one picture and we'll post them as soon as we get back.

Happy Fourth of July!

Happy Fourth of July everybody!
