California Love

We are in California!!! Casey and I arrived on August 12th with the help of my dad who flew to Utah and drove the rental truck out here for us. We had a good time and things went very smoothly for us on our drive. My dad had to go back for work the next morning though. Since then my mom has come and visited us as well as Rafe, so we feel very loved. Chris and Shauna have been keeping us entertained and helping us through our Internet crisis. We are having some issues getting service so they have traded us internet time in turn for Casey taking over as Bernie's dog walker. Casey started work on the 17th and I have been around the school but officially start tomorrow Aug 24th. Hopefully we will be able to post pictures and create more bloggs soon, but I guess that depends on the lovely folks at AT&T!

And now the weather

The weather today in Provo was CRAZY!! As you can tell, our weathergirl was almost swept away by the 80 mph winds, hail and rain. It lasted for about 10 minutes. Center Street in Provo flooded, several powerlines went down, and lots of damage was caused to the Provo airport. Maybe when the Daily Herald Web site starts working we can post some professional photographs of the mess. Our photos were taken at around 11 a.m. Notice how dark it is! or was.

Our new nephew is one cool dude

Hey everyone! In the continuing fury of trying to catch you up with our lives while we were lazy, meet our new nephew! His name is Ezekiel or Eazy-E, depending on which circles you run in. Well Johanna and John (that's Sarah's sister and her husband for those who are just catching up with us) came to visit a couple of weeks ago and brought along their baby. He's pretty cute without comprimising his gangsta-ness.

Oh Zion, Dear Zion

Casey, Amy, Dillon, and I all drove up from Vegas to Zion national park. It was quite the experience. The night we got there a dear came up into our camp site and just looked around and started eating the grass. It was about 3 feet away from us and wasn't bothered at all. I wanted to take a picture but was afraid of scaring him away. We spend the next day doing some hikes and they were amazing. I wish we could have done more but we were all pretty tired from the heat and our wild time in Vegas. Here is a picture of us on a log that was perfectly worn for my butt. It was like sitting on a cloud! -- Sarah

Cherry Cherry Cobbler

Several weeks ago (I know we're really slow, but honestly we thought it was due to a problem with being able to load photos, and really, what's a blog without photos?) we made a delecious cherry cobler with some cherries grown locally (I think, that grocery store could've been lying and remember this was a while ago). It was utterly delecious and a macabre affair as you can see how bloodied Sarah became while making it. Yes, several cherries were hurt in the making of this cobbler.
